Collin County’s New Standing Order

The district judges in Collin County, Texas have released a new standing order. Note that it is in two parts. All of the judges were able to agree on the bulk of the standing order. Five of the thirteen district judges did not sign on to a prohibition against the content of future speech, specifically an injunction prohibiting parents from:

Making disparaging remarks about the other party in the presence of or within the hearing of the child(ren).

The Collin County Standing Order is available on the District Clerk’s web site.
